Peter Lehmann Layers White 2010

Rich and plenty full aromas and palate. Enticing and not at all overpowering considering the five varietals: Semillon, Muscat, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Some how it reminds me of the Sorrento lemons used to make Limoncello. SUMMER IN THE GLASS.

If the previous wine was a Broadway musical then this is Vivaldi! The lemon is candied on this version. The wonderful art of blending is at work here. VALUE

It is expensive but also phenomenal! Subtle and super complex. Seductive. Balanced and true to the soil minerality. This is the gem of Italian white wine. Like the great wines of the world it is all about finesse and balance. This is the perfect example.
Fratelli Giacosa Nebbiolo D'Alba 2009

I have been a fan of the Giacosa Family since the 70,s. They know how to bring out Nebbiolo character. All the aromas and flavours of good Barolo in a smaller package. Reduced in quantity not quality. Highly Recommended.
