Furbizia and the Bean
In Italian "furbi" means "clever" and, Angelo Bean explained, these times demand furbizia. Furbi also sounds like "4B", which were the ingredients at a recent Toronto dinner: Baco, Barbera, Berkshire and Bean. The last ingredient is becoming increasingly known on the local foodie scene for his innovative sausage making, not least because he was named the 'Sausage King' by a professional panel put together last year by Ivy Knight.

Ontalia Puts Italian Roots in Local Soil
You’re a young ragazzo growing up in Castellamare di Stabia near Naples, Italy. In the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, you spend the days watching your mother tend the family garden, raise a small flotilla of farm animals and prepare regional dishes from handfuls of fresh local ingredients. And though her talent in the kitchen has earned her a spot as chef for a noble family, she never wavers in her approach to food: simple, fresh, local ingredients cooked in a manner that showcases rather than overwhelms the individual ingredients.

Bring Ontario Home for the Holidays
Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Leona Dombrowsky with Chef Owen Steinberg from IL FORNELLO restaurant in Toronto and farmers from the GTA challenge grocery shoppers to buy Ontario food. Angelo appeaped at this event with other Artisanal Food Producers from Ontario.
